talented Data graduates to join our Graduate Development Programme.
About the Programme
Our
dynamic and packed 2 year programme will enable you to use the numeracy,
analytical and data skills developed
in your degree to help us solve problems in the water industry. Our graduate
programme will offer a truly versatile role, a huge amount of insight into how
a regulator works with excellent training enabling you to create a solid
foundation for your data career.
Rotating
across different areas of work (clusters), you will also be able to develop a
broad skillset including econometrics, policy development and presentation.
You’ll be part of a multi-disciplinary team and apply analytical, financial
modelling and quality assurance skills. You will develop the confidence in your
ability to challenge the data and link your findings to policy decision making
in the real world.
The work we do is
complex and has direct implications for the customers and the environment.

Who are we looking for?
Engaged
and highly motivated individuals committed to making a difference. You’ll find

comfortable building relationships and effectively communicating with a variety
of audiences, adapting your approach appropriately.
With a strong academic foundation, an instinct for
problem solving and a resilient approach, you will have (or be on target to
achieve this year) at least a 2:2 degree in a numerical, analytical,
environmental or business related discipline, such as (but not limited to)
economics, accounting and finance, environmental engineering, maths, physics or
chemistry. We’re particularly keen to hear from you if you have (or will obtain
this year) a relevant post-graduate degree. In either case, as this is a
graduate programme, we are looking for no more than three years’ work
experience following your graduation.
What’s on offer?
As a
Graduate Associate on our programme, you’ll be employed on a 2 year fixed term
contract with a starting salary of £28,000 plus a substantial benefits package
including 25 days holiday plus 10 ½ bank holiday and privilege leave days per
annum. In addition you will receive an excellent benefits package including

initiatives and an excellent civil service pension.
We
have offices in Birmingham and London (you’ll be able to express a preference
for which) with remote working available. We operate a truly flexible and agile
working culture with all of the IT/infrastructure (including a Surface Pro and
iPhone) to enable you to work efficiently where and when needed.
